Christmas weekend

After contemplating how much things I need to do this weekend, here I am, writing a blog.. very much unproductive. The past two days without work, led me so much excited for Monday. Cool people or just workaholic? Maybe I just didn't laugh as much when I'm around friends.

Hey it's Christmas, what the heck?! Christmas, as I want it to be, was meaningful. We go to mass at BF with my brothers and my cousin. Then all my cousins and pamangkins were here yesterday. Ang gulo pero ang saya! Tas cyempre masarap food.. C madur pa??! busog busog na naman.. which constantly reminds me, I must workout / be fitter when January starts. (at least Jan2)

Now, I was distracted with the music blah!

I just remember the things I have to do.. My debt to my kuya grows bigger and bigger. boo.. Now I'll settle in paying him 2500 every two weeks. Goodluck. I want to save money na but it seems that expenses are already waiting for my next salary! boo! waaaaaah I must save na starting my first salary of the year :) watever happens!

Had you ever found yourself laughing so hard alone?! I just did, alot of times actually. Sobrang natatawa pa din ako pag naalala ko ung performance namin kagabi. Specially the stripes and the topless cpgs! I just soooo want to see the video and pictures.

Ultimate bonding with the smokers and K-pop friend. K-pop because he's just so updated! I like. Unlimited drinks! couple shot of what seems to be super strong vodka. Dance (eeeew naaalala ko pa pag tinutulak ako sa gitna) OMG ayoko ata pumasok tom. Magtago kaya ako.. Super obvius daw e.. yuckie! aaaargh... Nonetheless I'm sooo happy.. We all are that we even forget the time! I also got a ring, that err I lost. haha

Uber late ako sa pagpasa ng RPG4, but what the hell, its just minus 4 points.. I believe its in its perfect running condition. And yes, I'm still proud.. However, an extra day on RPG4 takes one day from the dreaded RPG5!! homaaaygaaad.. wala pa akong alam! I don't want to be late on this one because this will hunt me during my Christmas Noche Buena!

Shopping week!..for me, that's definitely new!

Sh*t after seeing my most recent blog, I realized that I forgot to buy myself a necktie! aaaaaaaaaargh I was already in SM Sucat c'mon! I want to wear neck tie pa naman on Saturday for our performance...

I've been quite busy lately, you'll never guess: Shopping! I received extra gran in my salary due to tax reasons which gave way to the unexpected shopping spree.. I hate it though, being part of the crowd. Before I knew it, I'm turning more and more penniless each day.

Sunday: Mass @ Shrine and dinner @ MOA. I like the violet vest in Human.. So soft, thick and comfortable. (700Php). I didn't buy though..
Monday: Landmark/Glorietta/SM Makati with mom and my cousin. I bought black (shiny) flats and violet (gartered) slippers, what's with violet? It's so in!!! I also purchased 3 feet soles or really short-sort-of-socks and I think 3 slippers for mom dad and my brother. I bought dinner at Food Choices. All our food were soooo saraaap both from Korean and Japanese fastfood! yum! I want to order in the Greek place, but its so expensive, my mom would want to buy one. And by buy one meaning the money will came for me.. Maybe next time :) Then the shuttle.

Tuesday: I searched Powerbooks and National Bookstore for a gift for myself and Mr. Soya, sadly and exhaustingly, everything I asked was out of stock. :( Then I search F&H, my ged! The place was uuuuber small!! eeew.. I didn't even think twice in re-searching for good finds for my fave cousin, instead I go to Human (since I can't find Bench)... The red polo shirt was a good find, I must admit! I also did my stockings errand, which was very tiring too, and eventually bumped into an old friend (?) no acquaintance! hahaha I ate fishball after and a glass of gulaman.. Gosh! I'm so kuripot to myself!!.. I saw Manong Unilever Driver pala.. gotta tell She!



Today: Regulars (including probies like me) got a free Purefoods Xmas ham. I went to SM Sucat (still via shuttle) and was surprised that National Bookstore has a 'The Book thief' stock. Last two copies!! I can't help but bought one for myself too after my exhausting experience yesterday! Ang hiraaaap mong hanapin!! This is my first book I bought to myself! yey! My must-buy-list of books is growing. I, now want to buy the classics aside from the tons my lit-outdoor friend recommeded: The little princess, Pride and prejudice, A christmas carol (definitely must have this christmas season!) and more..

Today I also bought the super expensive Fucicort for my skin and this month's issue of Women's Health. I didn't know Fucicort has 2% steroid, and its good for acne but with a caution. Still need yet to buy Dynothunder, PSP Screen Protector, necktie, Rustan's scarf, my bestfriend's 900Php swimsuit!.. aargh

All I want for xmas.. pt2

I videoed our 'BEFORE' performance for tomorrow's Xmas party. As I was watching myself, I realized how dumb or platonic I look. Tigas ng katawan- and I thought I was performing.. Dapat pala mas effort at OA talaga pag performance. It looks so easy watching suju on their MVs - which impressed me more. Super galing na talaga nila..

Content

Today is my birthday. I think the difference is the gift I gave myself. 'Peace of Mind' .. For some reason, I'm not uber happy nor in depression mode. I feel content that I get to see my friends back from highschool and invited them here last night. A few of my closest (both metpahorically and geographicall) also dropped by. The food and drink was on me. Like any other libre that I did before, it still doesn't surprise me why I'm not affected by how much I spend for my friends contrary to the baryas I spent for myself.

I should be happy today:
*I have my family and my cousins at close ( Dang! I miss kuya bfgf so much) and we're slowly moving forward;
*I paid my debt to Mr. Soya which made me broke! (hunger strike na ito);
*I get to see and keep my highschool friends at bay after my long leave of absence (thanks to ms. tokyo for getting here in time for my not-that-busy days);
* I have a good job, nakakatamad but at the same time challenging;
* and because of that job, I get to spend a lil something for my family for christmas :D

Everything's going alright now... At least after the death of my cousin.. I feel they're becoming more and more stable. Thanks to you Lord.

I must go to mass today and show my gratitude more often.. I promised that I will share once I got a job.. and I will, now that my debt was paid. haha.. kay kuya na lang..

strength and guidance

Well this is just a sad day. A day that started with an unbelievable shock. The shock that would make you wish the person who sent the message to you joking. Kuya and the rest of my Mother-side-family wanted to sleep so badly but can't. It was such a devastation that top even the most gruesome 47-people-massacred in Maguindanao. It was so much worse for us because of the shock and the inimaginable truth.

I can't pray for anything but the wellness and guidance for the people who loved him the most. Specially his son and wife and of course, his brother who spoiled and loved him so much far more than any other brother's love could've given. The brother who is in a worse condition for he cannot do anything, even bid farewell personally, and it is such a painful experience. Please Please May God give them all the gift of strength and acceptance...

Day 1

I'm now here in the office waiting for my lunch break to end. My eyes is tired already calling the pillows and the sound sleep. My Day 1 yesterday was so boring and so sleepy due to numerous orientation from different departments such as HR, Facilities and ours, CS focusing on the training and the company policies. It's a good thing that Philippines is the holiday capital so as to feed my Shikamaruness.

During the 'tell me about yourself' stuff, I can't think of anything anymore because of my lack of sleep and most probably because of Naruto Shippuuden was playing all over my mind. I said useless stuffs. Shikamaru Shikamaru Shikamaru.. puro ganto ung nasa utak ko,that's why pati ako nahahawa na ng katamaran ni Shikamaru, as if I'm not by myself. Haaay

I wore mascara yesterday which was a good thing cause I cried hearing lonely/senti songs (in the bus and jeep). I found out that Mr. Soya was on night shift on the only month that we will be working on the same area. That, somehow, depresses me.. and then flashbacks.. realizations.. haaay There's only one word on my mind... 'bakit??' My mind tells me that I should be happy.. But maybe this was the part where they say heart and mind actually do disagree..

I can't even sleep on my bed so as not to feel the solitude.

One day

Aaargh..
I bummed myself so much this week that now I forgot how big my responsibility is. For tomorrow, I have to get my X-rays again (and it really creeps me once they assumed if this is TB again!), next is my NBI clearance and if lucky a postal ID. aaaaaah this is harsh.. How could I fit it all in one day?!

Oct 22 letter to Mr. soya

After months of bumming and tirelessly applying for jobs, its a wonder how in just this week I keep on asking myself the same and unbelievably ridiculous and annoying question: 'Mr. Soya where are you?'

Its not about my disastrous embarrassment at Game Ka Na Ba nor my shameful job offer at Smart that I'm asking for him. It's not even the job offer of my wildest expectations too..

Its just like destiny or fate is so busy picking at me. Beyond my wildest and utterly unexplainable imagination did I find my wildest and utterly unexplainable imagination did I find myself looking at the same guy who introduced me to the realization that some metaphors do personalize as I was completely jaw-droppingly awed to the sparkle in his eyes a couple of years back. Last weekend, I was surprised to see him again, but it was nothing to the feelings that rushed over me. Maybe I was awed again, or maybe I just missed him (as if we do bond) I don't know the right answer and explanation. I do know I was happy, the kind that again last for days, although I wish it hasn't. I know it was wrong, definitely wrong.

I suppose I'm convinced that fare really has its ways to play on emotional that fate really has its always to play on emotional aspects of humans. At the very instat I saw him online it happened. Happiness in multi-folds. This has definitely gone wrong.

I have to give this up. I thought I already did together with a teardrop last moonlight. Bust as much as I resist and fight my heart with my brain, the latter lost. And I have to believe that tonight was a stupid mistake. Very stupid!

Mr. Soya I really wish you were here. I most certainly know that one strike of laughter is all it takes to stop all this rediculous nonsense.

Just a short update on my whereabouts these days.. well, I recently joined a game show with two of my friends. Well, everything was cool and lucky at first, but we ended up humiliated and well... embarassed.. haaay I want some redemption!!!

Bento bento bento

After reading MH issue for this month (Joem Bascon as cover), I rekindle my LOVE for Japanese Food. I remember dreaming of having to prepare my own bento every morning... WAaaah soooo want to go to Japan!

I searched some blogs and added it to mine, so that I will be updated and be reminded of my love for Japanese food :) Check it out.



I love food more than any other things! Maybe that's why I keep on watching Travel and Living so much! I like to grill, to cook to eat.. everything!!!

Anyway, I'm currently uploading our back from davao pics and I'm now on Day 3, where I have almost all of the pictures. 2 uploads to go.

Day: Outland Adventure / Night: Station 91 + Spa Executive

I'm back from the orientation from SLI. Gosh, so what's written in Pinoy Exchange is true about the '9k package'. I honestly think that it is a very good training ground as the first steps to fulfill my dreams into working in Japan. However, with that salary, where on earth will I get my placement fee or something like that after two years?!

When I'm on the bus, I select the 'kost' playlist as my choice of song. Of course, after months of bumming around and then another offer turned down, I'm disappointed with myself. Haaay.. I don't want to go through the umeSP cycle again... I guess I just have to trust God. He has better plans for me. For us...

Pussy texted me... she asked me whether I could program their thesis... C'mon! ang hirap naman nun. Di naman basta basta ang thesis nila haha. Pwede akong tumulong, pero ako gagawa?!!! no deal! Sorry...I'm developing pimples! I will totally ditch that Belo toner! grrrrr... Now I have a couple near my nose! hate it! Mas ok pa ata ang (rumored na nakakapimple na) Ponds.. In fact before that I have another 2 pimples going to Davao. haaay... Dapat imaintain lagi na ganto sa baba ang face ko (well minus the eyebags and 2 huge pimp scars! :))

I'm back from Davao with loads of pictures in my cam (80% ==myself)...
But before copying and uploading it. I have to first 'connect' with the social networks and verify if Outland really is the longest zipline in Asia ;0

Face obsession

After being curious of the 7-steps korean face routine my brother told me, I finally found the sipag to search for it in the net. I found it here and I've been following this ever since.

Since I'm obsessed nga, I also use toner for my face. The best I've tried was Neutrogena Fine Fairness that Kuya brought home. Wala na ata sa market to coz kuya said inuubos na lang ung stock :( Nevertheless, I also used Pond's, the blue one with the label acne-expert. Sa sobrang ka-expertan, I think nagkakapimple lang ako, or I was just influenced by my kach's belief that Pond's causes pimples. Now, I'm trying Belo's essential, night and day (if aalis ako ng day). I liked it so far specially its fragrant smell. :D However, during the days that I stay at home I wash my face with Neutrogena Deep Clean foam facial cleanser, then wash it again with ice-cold water. I read somewhere that it is the perfect toner! Pag maaga din ako umuuwi, ice-cold water routine pa rin after removing makeup. :) wait... Neutrogena (Deep Clean Lotion)din pala ung ginagamit ko for make up removing (not in eye makeup).

**wait, I'm developing pimples.. I think its because of the Belo toner or the Olay moisturizer, or some random environment factors. I'll stop using those two for a while.

Those shu skin purifiers stuffs were giveaways at a party and obviously, I haven't used any nor I plan to in the future. Does those have an expiration date?
That eye serum was the one I asked my cousin to give me. I just don't know if its available here. It's effective in reducing puffiness or soon-to-be-lines. Don't you know that aging starts at 18?! And the first signs are seen on the eyes? Kaya nga naghanap na ako ng eye cream the moment I heard this. :P
I use whitening mask and soon the moisturizing cream. Pfft.. there are some discolorations on my face, hope it helps.

And so I saw this article in one blog that I'm following. I figured that while I'm currently obsessed with my face to be so makinis and practicing selca (from my previous blog) I read it as it was interesting. I'm making it a habit to mask my face every sunday (Nakakaisang sunday pa lang ako kaya nga MAKING a habit ;p).

Natry ko na before ung Neutrogena mask, last nung night before graduation rehearsal wherein 3AM na ata ako natulog and to think I'm expecting a photoshoot! Sa mask ko na lang binawi, and there, ok naman! Hindi halatang puyat ako. My face still looked fresh, radiant and moisturized. That's why I really believe in masks.. it's like the ultimate Spa for your face. I also tried iWhite, the cheap ones I saw in Watson's for like 3-4 times. This is also the one I used last Sunday. I liked this, not just because it is cheap but because its paste-like when left on the face. Feel na feel ko talaga nakamask ako, plus I can move (at least the rest of my body) without thinking if the mask would fall like those of 'gauze masks'.

I also noticed the leads in a lot of kdramas were masking with fresh cucumbers all over the face when tomorrow will be a big day, usually kapag may date. Very thin slices of cucumbers that circle around the face, just like in Ratatouille. Saw a poor copy in google:

Selca-ing: Tips for that ultimate camwhore!

I was browsing the insider.com and got irritated because instead of pics or galleries of lara and anya's style tips there were all videos. I don't have that much patience to wait, so I searched for korean stylist in Google. Found a blog on wordpress that got my interest with the salon I'm eyeing for sometime now was the title. Don't like her much. But I still want to get my hair done at Tony and Jackie at either Alabang or Makati.

Anyway, I found out that this blogger was sort of inflicted with the korean craze as well (as there were a lot of BOF articles). I clicked at an interesting article, and I want to share it here. "I stumbled upon this Korean website where it gave tips on taking self pictures. The Koreans apparently have perfected this method and even coined a name for it – SELCA, meaning self camera.You don’t need to look like a supermodel or all made-up for a selca. Selca is all natural and fun posing."

If there's a habit I so perfectly master back in college, it's the copy paste method. I want to post it here myself, so if ever they removed the URL or trash the blog, I do have a copy. hehe. Camwhoring is a habit I would like to relive specially now, I have an awesome camera! :P I know I already gave her a name.. I forgooooot grrr.

Star Tips on Selcaing

Sel-ca is a newly created word by Korean netizens which stands for self-camera and it refers to taking picture of yourself with either your digital camera or camera phones. Although the word sel-ca has English roots, it’s part of everyday vocabulary and activity in Korea as you can see even celebs are snapping away.

Rule # 1: Check yourself out.

Make sure that there is nothing stuck in your teeth, that your hair is in order and that the lighting is okay. Common ways to check yourself out are taking out the princess mirror in your purse, using the reflector on your digital camera or taking a practice shot. Remember that the more lighting, the better but if you can’t get the right amount of spot light directed to you, try using the black and white option or any other color option in your camera.

Rule # 2: Never look directly into the camera!
The worst thing you can do for yourself is to look directly into your camera for it’ll make your face look huge! For a more slimmer look, follow these three simple tricks.

(1) Look up at your camera

By elevating your camera 20 cm, you are forced to look up, which makes your face look a lot slimmer and your eyes bigger. The key to this trick is making sure that your chin is down while your eyes are looking up to the camera. And make sure that you keep your eyes wide open- like you are surprised. From personal experience, it takes time to master this, but once you have it down, you are good to go!

(2) Look down at your camera

Instead of elevating your camera 20cm, lower your camera 20cm and look straight down at it while keeping your eyes wide open. Because you are looking down, you are forced to lower your chin. This creates the necessary angle to keep the face looking slim. Although this sounds easy, the results are not as flattering as looking up at your camera.

(3) Tilt your head

The hardest yet most natural looking pose is to tilt your head, looking like you are not conscious of the camera – although you are sel-caing. Because you are looking away from your camera, it’s most likely that you are not going to get the shot you want, so don’t get discouraged if you only get parts of your face or none at all! It’s all part of the sel-ca learning process. Once you become acquainted with your digital camera and you are used to sticking your arm out, you’ll have that perfect sel-ca shot in no time.

Rule # 3: Express yourself!
Showing off your perfect teeth is so yesterday. In today’s digital era, it’s all about expressing yourself, so take advantage of the fact that there is no film to waste and show off your wacky side to the world.

(1) Put on a funny expression

There’s no better way to show off your wild side than to take some wacky shots of yourself. Being able to take such shots, shows that you are confident enough to make fun of yourself and no, you won’t be considered a freak because the pictures are for your own viewing pleasure! So snap away!

(2) Accessorize

If you get bored with just putting on funny expressions, then try accessorizing to make sel-caing more entertaining. Common props used by everyday sel-caers are scarves, towels, hats, and wigs – we dare you to try something new.

Rule # 4: Practice, practice & practice.
To master the sel-ca technique, practicing on a regular basis is a must! The best way to practice is to take your digital camera with your everywhere you go and start snapping away whenever you have extra 30 secs to spare. You can sel-ca…..

(1) while waiting for a site to upload

While you are waiting for your favorite blog, POPSEOUL! to load, take some shots right by your computer. It’ll take you less than 30 seconds to turn on your camera, elevate or lower your camera – lower your chin and snap!

(2) while shopping

While waiting for the shop girls to bring the clothes in your size, take some shots of yourself by the mirror in your fitting room. Unlike the face close-ups, you can take a full body shot with the help of the mirror but the downsize is that your camera is included in the picture. But hey, as long as you can show off your slammin body, does it really matter?

(3) while driving

Next time you are stuck in traffic, whip our your digital camera and practice your sel-ca skills. But please make sure that you are stuck in dead-lock traffic when you do this. It’ll be so sad to read that the cause of the car accident was “sel-caing.”

(4) getting ready to sleep

*Kiniiiis my ged! Nainggit lang ako sa kakinisan! Might as well do it, since my cam's been locked in the room for a looooong time. She missed me.

If you just don’t want to get out of bed or can’t fall asleep, practice in your bed. This post is rated PG, so nothing naughty of course! However, let me warn you that it’s a lot harder to get your sel-ca angle in bed, but it’s worth a shot.

*Another tip, make sure you're cam has a BIG memory cause while practicing, you don't always get the best picture in every click! Good thing I my cam got with it its own 8G memory card! wooohoo!!!!

Rule #5: Don’t upload your embarrassing pictures online!

*The best tip diba? Remember to make yourself the FOCUS of the photo. Ang Pinoy kasi and most tourists, parang fan na nagpapapicture sa background para sa 'I've-been-here shot!' like this shot I got right here. Diba?! ano yan?!!! hahaha I think it would be considered a perfect photo if you're enjoying yourself IN the background not the background swallowing you! right?!!!!
